Kindergarten Hours from 2024
The Kindergarten is open from 8.30am until 4.00pm
The sessions and hours of Kindy are:

Kindergarten sessions
Kindergarten Sessions as of Term 1, 2024
Children can attend 15 hours a week/ 30 hours a fortnight of Kindergarten for the year before they start school.
We offer two groups of Kindergarten (22 children per group)
Kurraka (Magpies) Group
Monday & Tuesday 8.45am to 3.15pm and Friday (even weeks of term) 8.30am to 12.30pm
Or
Ngauwaka (Lorikeets) Group
Wednesday & Thursday 8.45am to 3.15pm and Friday (odd weeks of term) 8.30am to 12.30pm
- If your child’s birthday is between 01/01/19 and 30/4/20 they can start Kindergarten in Term 1, 2024
- If your child’s birthday is between 01/05/20 and 31/10/20 they can start Kindergarten in Term 3, 2024
Family Playgroup
Family Playgroup is held on Fridays during term time from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Cost is $2.50 per family and children 0-4 years are welcome.

Our Parent Information Booklet will assist you with detailed information about the services and programs offered at Jean Horan Flinders Park Kindergarten.
For information about enrolling your child at Jean Horan Flinders Park Kindergarten or you wish to discuss any other information please do not hesitate to speak with one of our staff.
Check the UV rating today to see if you need to apply sunscreen this morning for Kindergarten. Don’t forget that your child needs to have a hat every day at Kindergarten.
COVID 19
This has been a trying time for us all as we confront coronavirus/COVID-19. The rapidly evolving news stories surrounding this pandemic have undoubtedly caused concern.
We thank you for your ongoing support and the words of appreciation that we have received. At this time, I ask for your understanding that our Kindergarten will follow the advice and direction of the Department for Education. Our Educator Team is working hard to ensure we continue our learning programd for your children.
We encourage parents to contact us either by phone or email to inform us of any concerns or change of details. We are continuing to encourage good hygiene practices and effective hand washing has been a big emphasis. Again, thank you for your understanding as we continue to cope with this unprecedented situation.

The site provides learning materials and activities across all learning areas in the Early Years Framework and the Australian Curriculum. There are materials that are appropriate for families as well as resources that are more targeted towards teachers.
